You know I can’t let Paris Fashion Week pass without sharing my favorite looks from Chanel. Coco would haunt me! All my faves for Spring/Summer 2016 in these three looks: color, volume, a perfect length, prints, and chic.
A loosely tied ribbon at the neckline was a reoccurring detail on looks by Eli Saab for Paris Fashion Week. And Kendall Jenner slaying this entire runway situation, and I live! All looks are gorgeous and deserve it have a red carpet moment as Elie Saab frocks are prone to deliver! Paging all you celeb stylists!
Joyfully colorful separates & head wraps; a perfectly tailored suit. My favorite D&G show in recent memory. So chic!
Gardenias are a total Glamourtunist. They’re my favorite flower. So elegant, sophisticated, and refined. Jazz singer Billie Holiday, and the designers Coco Chanel and Patrick Kelly also loved gardenias. What flower do you most love or associate with fashion and style?
One day I’ll own and slay life in a pair of Helmut Lang jeans just like this! Werk! I want the vintage kind. By vintage I mean from the 90s. I remember being a teenager and thinking that Helmut Lang Jeans were the best thing ever, so that’s my obsession with one from that era. And also, the thought of the 90s as vintage. Ugh. Way to feel ancient!
Went to bed reading comments about Lorde in the Narciso Rodriguez suit at the Golden Globes Red Carpet.
Woke up wih Yves Saint Laurent’s pioneering “Le Smoking” suit in ’66 (depicted in Helmut Newton photo below, right) and also the iconic Bianca Jagger, the 70s “it girl” and tastemaker always taking advantage of any Glamourtunity presented to her in “Le Smoking.” I love a good photographic fashion history field trip!
So many chic, fierce and smart looks at Isabel Marant during PFW. Here are three of my favorites. As you can see, I love what she did with the short skirts and dresses, and booties and nearly thigh high boots. I think the Marant woman is always one of the most trendsetting. Fantastic!
Public School gave a jolt of super chic to menswear at this year’s NYFW. These are three of my favorite looks from their Fall 2015 show, and while I also enjoyed much of there womenswear too, I thought the men’s looks were especially fashion flawless. I am in love with the charcoal grey trench on the far left, and would love to have the grey vest in my closet too this Fall. The look in the middle best represents what I love about this design house, which is their coolness, street sensibilities, and the fashion flexibility of their looks. This design duo is killing the game right now!
The Kaelen Fall 2015 show for New York Fashion Week was so deliciously chic I had such a hard time choosing just three. So, I let a theme lead me and the theme here is coats because this show gave such a sensational outerwear moment I couldn’t hardly take it! Here are three of my fave coats from the show, and all of the models are giving me life and selling the garments, darling. But Miss ThAng in the middle is chewing the scenery! I looooove it.
It’s New York Fashion Week and designers are showing their Fall 2015 looks. So this is basically the holiday season all over again for a fashion lover. Glamourtunist will be sharing our three fave looks from select shows throughout the week. Up first is designer Tomas Maier. When I saw these looks (below) I thought of the life of a go-getter professional woman living in Brooklyn or Queens (of course!) and what she’s wearing to work, for brunch, and for cocktails on a crisp night out on the town (from left to right). I love how cool these looks are. My favorite is the Black and white jacket as it is a jacket design that looked new and interesting, and I can see this jacket paired with jeans or even dress pants for a completely different look. Well done!
